Admission procedure

Admission is strictly though entrance exam conducted by the recognized authority. A test is conducted every year to choose students to enroll in various institutes, colleges and universities. The written test is followed by group discussion and interview. Selected candidates are then called for admission, which they have to take within the prescribed time-limit.

For post-graduation program, graduation is a must in fashion designing. There will be entrance exam held by different colleges. Candidates scoring well can get into a reputed college.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the entrance exam, the candidate has to be 10+2 pass from a recognized board and with 50% aggregate marks. The age of the candidate should be not less than 17 on the mentioned date. The undergraduate course is of four-year duration.

Candidates wishing to pursue post-graduation need to complete their graduation from a recognized university. There may be relaxation in marks as well as age criteria for the reserved classes in some of the institutes or universities. The postgraduate course is about two years.

What are the courses available in Engineering Field?

Engineering courses are available at diploma level, undergraduate level, postgraduate and doctoral levels.

Diploma Course leading to Diploma in Engineering

It is a 3-year course which students can pursue after the completion of 10 years of school education. Diploma holders are eligible for lateral entry to the third semester Engineering Courses. Diploma in Engineering is offered in various disciplines.

Undergraduate Course leading to B.Tech Degree

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is the 4-year full-time undergraduate course in engineering. This course can be done with one of the engineering discipline. Prerequisites for pursuing B.Tech is 10+2 passed with PCM group from the recognized educational board.

 

Admission

Admissions in the UG and PG engineering courses is done through entrance examination. The admission to undergraduate programs of all the NITs and other reputed engineering colleges  is done through Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main). For admission to IITs (Indian Institute of Technology), students have to appear the JEE Advanced

Salary

A fresher engineer can earn the 2.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh per annum in India. But, if he moves to the abroad, he can earn around $80000 to 100000 per annum.

JEE(MAIN +ADVANCED)

For 2017, the practice of two tier JEE exam will be continued. The top 2,00,000 students from JEE (Main) will be allowed to appear in JEE (Advanced).

More than 40,000 ranks will be issued in JEE (Advanced). Joint counselling for IITs and NITs will be continued.

Board marks will not to be counted for giving rankings this year for NITs, CFTIs, etc.

The Government has decided to place the recommendations of the Report in the public domain for widespread consultation with the stakeholders.
JEE Main 2017: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted by CBSE. Applicants who want to get admission into engineering (B.E/B.Tech) courses will have to appear in the paper-1 and those who want to get admission into architecture (B.Arch/B.Planning) courses will have to appear in the paper-2.
